Waiting For The Clouds

In 1924, Greece and Turkey signed an agreement to repatriate ethnic Greeks and ethnic Turks, leading to a mass deportation of Pontic Greeks from Turkey. During the impossibly difficult journey that killed their mother and baby sister, ten-year-old Eleni chose to take refuge with a Turkish family while her brother Niko left for Greece with other orphans. When Eleni's adopted sister dies 50 years later, Eleni's memories of the past and her guilt over what happened come rushing back. Finally, a former exile encourages Eleni to acknowledge her past and search for Niko in Greece.
